Company Celebrates Event with Employees, Local and State Officials

TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 17, 2007) — IC Corporation recently celebrated the completion of its 50,000th school bus manufactured at its Tulsa, Okla., plant.

"From the very first bus that came off of the line April 11, 2001 to the 50,000th bus that is rolling off of the line today, we’re proud to provide quality school buses that have safely transported millions of children to and from school," said Michael Cancelliere, vice president and general manager of IC Corporation.

The plant’s 1,100 employees were also joined by John McKinney, IC’s vice president of truck manufacturing, Mayor Kathy Taylor, State Treasurer Scott Meacham, and Secretary of Commerce Natalie Shirley.

"The Tulsa Bus Plant has not only been a valuable part of Oklahoma’s economy, it has been a vital manufacturing plant that is key to North America’s success in the transportation sector," said McKinney.

The 115-acre manufacturing plant, which was originally built in 1941 by the U.S. Air Force to produce B-24 bombers, is home to the CE Series bus model.
