REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (April 1, 2008) – The NAPT America’s Best School Bus Inspector and School Bus Technician will be held Sept. 10-12 in Tulsa, Okla., and STN will host an inaugural qualifier for the state of Nevada during the upcoming EXPO in Reno on July 28.

America’s Best petitioned state pupil transportation directors last fall at the annual NASDPTS Conference in Grand Rapids, Mich., to help create more state training events for inspectors and technicians that feed the national event sponsored by Bus Parts Warehouse and Zonar. This year’s skills competition hosted by Hydrotex is expected to draw participants from at least 20 states, up from 14 last year.

This year’s qualifier held at Washoe County Schools in Reno is only open to Nevada state school bus inspectors and school district school bus technicians, though there have been some discussions about possibly holding a western regional event in the future.
