New Routing Software Aimed at
Helping School Budgets

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (April 4, 2008) — With fuel prices continuing their meteoric rise, a school bus routing software vendor released a new version of its flagship line to help school districts save money.

Transfinder Pro version 7.8 includes the ability for users to evaluate theoretical changes to student stop and walk information with the click of the mouse and an integration with Google Earth maps, enabling transporters to perform more of what Transfinder calls “what-ifs?” Transfinder said Google Earth quickly shows supervisors any potential hazards and can help new drivers learn their routes.

The upgrade, which was released to several Texas clients in mid-March, also includes mail merge capability and a “Rollover Wizard” to ease annual grade advancements.
