Program Attributed to Lowering
Accident Frequency of Policy Holders

FORT VALLEY, Ga. (July 3, 2008) — Blue Bird Corporation won an inaugural award recognizing outstanding cooperation between manufacturer, shipper and the insurance industry in promoting safety in the workplace as well as on the nation’s highways.

The Combined Awareness and Accident Reduction Effort Partner of the Year Award, or CAARE, was presented at the school bus OEM’s Fort Valley manufacturing plant on June 17. In its second year, the CAARE Program has proved to be instrumental in lowering accident frequency with policy holders, according to sponsor Carolina Casualty Insurance Company of Jacksonville, Fla.

“We believe that this prestigious award is well deserved, and Blue Bird should be proud of their exceptional achievements in all areas of safety,” said Bob Perew, Carolina Casualty's vice president of loss prevention.

“Blue Bird is committed to safety from the manufacturing to the final transportation of all its buses,” added Guss Bodison, Blue Bird’s director distribution, who received the award from Perew and Devon Bechtel, president of Quality Drive-Away, Inc., of Goshen, Ind.
