Winners Abound in Southern Roadeos
ONA, W.Va. (July 21, 2008) — Ed Rollins of Harris County, W.Va. is now the 21st Southeastern School Bus Safety Roadeo’s grand winner.
The competition for the 13-state region also named group winners. In first place: Billy Wiseman of Kanawha County, W.Va.; Jennifer McCoy of Hardin County, Ky; and John Labus of Cabell County, W.Va. In second: Billy Wiseman of Kanawha County, W.Va.; Jennifer McCoy of Hardin County, Ky.; and John Labus of Cabell County, W.Va.
Meanwhile, the Kentucky Association for Pupil Transportation announced winners of its 2008 School Bus Roadeo in Pikeville, Ky. In the conventional category, Jennifer McCoy of Hardin County Schools took first place. Tami Posey of Todd County and Robert Fischer of Jefferson County took second and third, respectively. In the transit category, Dana Clark of Madison County Schools won first place. Danny Vance of Martin County and David Price of Pike County took second and third. Finally, in the small bus category, Bencie Rasnake of Christian County won first place, while Richard Hall of Floyd County and Gary Warren of Todd County placed second and third.
First place winners in each class of the Kentucky competition received $500 and second place winners received $250.
