Nonviolent Crisis Intervention®

This six-hour course, presented by CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), is focused on recognizing the early warning signs of potential crisis and how to nonverbally and verbally de-escalate the crisis. The seminar also includes personal safety techniques which allow transportation providers to keep themselves safe if physically assaulted in ways that should also protect the student from harm. This is a typical training a bus driver or other transportation specialist would receive within their district or organization. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion.

NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses:
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
$99 ($149 after 6/25/12)
This eight-hour course addresses the unique issues of installing Child Safety Restraint Systems and utilizes the revised curriculum approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to teach the proper use and installation of CSRS on school buses. All of the requirements to participating in this course are completed on-site. Upon completion, attendees will receive three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from Safe Kids Worldwide.

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED with Basic First Aid Training:
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
$49 ($59 after 6/25/12)
This information rich, hands-on course covers new 2010 CPR guidelines(infant, child and adult) as well as topics such as: when to call 911; blood borne pathogen awareness; controlling bleeding; diabetic emergencies; seizures; heart attack; stroke; shock management; injuries to muscles, bones and joints; injuries to head, neck and back; anaphylactic shock; burns; heat/cold emergencies; and much more. This course will teach the participant how to care for a victim until advanced help arrives. Upon completion, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

Trade Show Only:

This fee is only good for one (1) entry into the trade show (Noon - 5 p.m.) and also into the IndustrySOCiAL evening networking event (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.) on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. This fee will NOT get you entrance into the pre or main conference workshops, the evening sponsored events or the keynote speeches.
