Kevin Talley of the Southeast Polk School District won Iowa’s first ever “Best of the Best” competition to recognize school bus technicians for their contribution to safe transportation. To claim his title, Talley competed in both a 50 question written knowledge exam as well as four hands-on competitions. Talley will represent the state at the national America’s Best School Bus Inspector and Technician competition in September. The national winner will be recognized this fall at the NAPT conference in Louisville, Ky.
