MAPT is accepting submissions for its Special Ed Driver and Aide Awards Program 2011, the association announced.

The award is given in conjunction with the Minnesota Special Education Transportation Committee. Nomination requirements include testimony of: a driver's or attendant's concern for students; ability to communicate with students, parents and school officials; skill set that aids in job responsibility or performance; volunteer activities; main reason for nominating the person; and any relevant job commendations.
