STN EXPO Indianapolis Attendee Registration Now Open

The clock starts now to secure $200 in savings on the standard rate for the inaugural STN EXPO Indianapolis, which is scheduled for June 7-12, 2019.

The event held at the “Crossroads of America,” will feature not only three keynotes, dozens of breakout workshops, a half-day trade show and networking events, but also one-of-a-kind training that is available nowhere else. All main conference attendees are eligible to add any one of seven Unique Experiences, or hands-on training opportunities. But space is limited, so act now.

The lineup starts the morning of June 7 with a live school bus crash demonstration at IMMI’s Center for Advanced Product Evaluation. In addition to watching a unique event, attendees will discuss lessons learned about the role that lap-shoulder seat belts play in on-board student safety.

The next day, June 8, offers the mainstay NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Restraint Training for school buses and adds the first-ever National School Bus Inspector Training. That all-day experience was developed to take school bus inspections above and beyond any state or federal department of transportation minimum requirements, to reduce the possibility of on-road breakdowns.

Also, the Cummins Service Training School offers two hands-on opportunities for main conference attendees, one on Sunday and another on Monday. These cover basic electronic theory and troubleshooting, cooled EGR and air handling familiarization, exhaust after-treatment overview, plus additional product specific information from company trainers. Also on Sunday, Q’Straint and Sure-Lok present interactive Wheelchair Securement Training that will be taught by company trainers.

The Allison Transmission Experience rounds out the Unique Experiences with a plant tour on June 10, in addition to hands-on training and a ride-and-drive opportunity.

Both Saturday sessions require additional payment for material, certification, and in the case of NHTSA, 5.5 CEUs from SafeKids Worldwide. Certifications of completion are also available for all other training sessions.

Check the website for registration details.
