INDIANAPOLIS — The 15th National Congress on School Transportation (NCST) will be held at the University of Central Missouri from May 15 through 21, 2010, the NCST Steering Committee confirmed.
During a Feb. 28 meeting, the Committee reviewed the status of resolutions approved by delegates to the 14th NCST held in Warrensburg in 2005. Current Steering Committee Chair Pete Baxter said action has been taken on all 11 resolutions. Writing Committees were preparing recommended changes to the 2005 National Specification and Procedures (NSTSP) document. Late recommendations werre still being accepted and will receive consideration by the Writing Committees. Details about what the NCST plans to discuss should be released within the week, Baxter added. The Committee selected Terry Voy, former Iowa State Director of Pupil Transportation and long time industry advocate, to be the on-site Congress chairperson to conduct the delegate proceedings. |
