Student transporters with data-driven presentations that fit this year's show theme of "Discovering Opportunities" are invited to submit proposals through March 2.

The 19th annual STN EXPO is scheduled for July 21-25 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev. Those submitting proposals are encouraged to review a list of potential topics to ensure their presentation meets requirements. Proposals that are accepted must include at least two (2) workshops or sessions that discuss issues related to the five core tracks of Business Administration, Head Start, Maintenance, Safety & Security and Special Needs.

For those proposals that are accepted, School Transportation News covers round-trip airfare, hotel nights and full conference registration (which includes access to the STN EXPO Trade Show on July 24) for the presenter.

This year's keynote will be given by J.R. Martinez, the 2012 Tournament of Roses grand marshal and season 13 winner of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" last fall. As a U.S. Army infantryman, Martinez was injured in Iraq during a 2003 IED attack on his Humvee that caused burns to more than 40 percent of his body.

The keynote event on July 23 is sponsored by Blue Bird Corporation and Cummins, Inc.
