Blue Bird Corporation released five sets of dates for next year's factory training on the conventional Vision and the transit-style All American school bus. The training is free of charge for Blue Bird customers.
Training for the Vision will take place May 13-16, July 22-25 and Oct. 28-31. Meanwhile, All American training workshops will be held July 8-11 and Oct. 7-10. All events will be held at Blue Bird's Fort Valley, Ga., plant.
"Blue Bird strives to provide training opportunities that keep our customers and dealers current on the latest technical updates, while also presenting an in-depth reveiw of the complete product line," said Jonathan Randall, general manager of Blue Bird Service Parts.
The factory training includes updates on recent product updates, such as the dual-zone multiplex system and 2013 emissions standard compliance. Blue Bird said that attendees will also become more familiar with bus assembly during a factory tour, and the company will supply current service manuals and other subject-related materials.
Randall added that the training factory workshops supplement Blue Bird's comprehensive and growing training program, which also includes webcasts made available through authorized dealers, technical publications and workshops geared toward the dealers, themselves. David Mertz, service manager for Cardinal Bus Sales and Service in Lima, Ohio, said he has attended many dealer workshops over the years.
"(I) have always found the content to be insightful and valuable," he added. "The instructors are very informative and provide the greatest depth of expertise on the Blue Bird product line."
