A free webinar next week will review the features of modern telematics platforms and how pupil transportation fleets are using telematics to improve safety and efficiency.
Zonar is presenting "An Introduction to School Bus Fleet Telematics" on Thursday to share with attendees ways to improve fuel efficiency, increase rider safety and emergency preparedness, automate compliance activities and Medicaid reporting, improve vehicle uptime and route optimization, integrate telematics data for payroll applications and more, said the company. It will hosted by Craig Kahoun, director at Zonar, and Don Carnahan, vice president of business development and NAPT's president.
"This webinar will provide an overview of benefits districts receive from telematics and what to consider when evaluating telematics for a pupil transportation operation," said Carnahan. "Today's telematics platforms not only improve bus transportation, but help enable improvements across the district including bus maintenance, accounting and human resources."
The webinar comes on the heels of Zonar's announcement this month that is offering bundled service packages of the company's full-featured telematics system for under $20 per month with no up-front hardware costs.
