New York Lawmakers Enact Permanent RFP Process for School Bus Contracts PDF Print E-mail

Claiming a victory for safety, the New York State School Bus Contractors Association announced that the Request for Proposal (RFP) law on school transportation contracts has been finalized and will no longer require approval by the State Legislature every five years.

Safe Fleet Acquires Seon to Add Mobile Surveillance to List of Solutions PDF Print E-mail

Nearly a year after its creation with the private-equity purchase of Specialty Manufacturing Inc., Safe Fleet announced it is adding Seon to its line of products. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Blue Bird Stock to Go Public After Parent Company is Acquired PDF Print E-mail

Shares of Blue Bird Corporation will soon be available for public trading after Hennessy Capital Acquisition (HCAC) signed an agreement to obtain all the outstanding capital stock of School Bus Holdings, Inc., an indirect parent company of the school bus manufacturer.

Georgia Transportation Directors Grateful for Environmental Award PDF Print E-mail

It is rewarding when your legacy is honored years after instituting a change. Though he left the Atlanta Public Schools years ago, Harold Walker launched its emission-reduction program 10 years ago, and recently the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) recognized the district for its continued commitment.
