School Bus Lighting System Approved in Mississippi PDF Print E-mail

This week Mississippi approved the statewide use of the Gardian Angel school bus lighting system, making it the second state in just a few months to give it the green light. The state of Wyoming also approved it last June.

NHTSA Advisory Reminds Students and Motorists About School Bus Safety PDF Print E-mail

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a safety advisory prompting drivers and students alike to make safety a priority near school buses and school zones now that schools across the country are coming back in session.

Mobile County the First in Alabama to Launch Propane School Buses PDF Print E-mail

While Mobile County Public Schools has been operating 30 new propane school buses since classes began on Aug. 7, Alabama Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey officially launched the Blue Bird Propane Visions into service for the state's largest school district.

FMCSA Explores Possible Requirement for Entry-Level Driver Training PDF Print E-mail

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is considering the feasibility of negotiated rulemaking on implementing entry-level driver training that would require the completion of minimum classroom and behind-the-wheel training from an accredited program.
