Georgia District Approves Pilot of Student Tracking, Parental Notification System PDF Print E-mail

Today's consumer wants to try out new technology before buying it, and school officials are no different. Recently, the Gordon County school system in northern Georgia signed an agreement to launch a pilot program of StudentConnect notification technology and, if successful, will deploy the student transportation management system districtwide.

National Express Corp. Programs Aim for Healthy Environment, Employees PDF Print E-mail

In celebration of Earth Week, April 16 through 22, National Express Corporation (NEC) said it is raising awareness of the importance of reduced idling programs for school buses that have been implemented nationwide at its local student transportation operations and have saved the company $175,000 in fuel and maintenance expenses.

The American Association for School Administrators said recommended funding of the Individuals with Disabilities Act in President Obama's proposed fiscal-year 2014 budget does not account for the recent sequestration, one of many concerns voiced by the group in a report.
