The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is meeting with the Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee and the Medical Review Board to discuss the affect of sleep apnea on commercial drivers.

The National Association for Pupil Transportation announced its 13th recipient of the Special Needs Transportation (SNT) endorsement, part of the organization's Professional Development Series of curriculum that was started in 2010.

A final rule was announced today by the U.S. Department of Transportation that specifically prohibits interstate commercial drivers from using hand-held cell phones while operating their commercial truck or bus. The final rule does not apply to school bus drivers.
