Safety directors for contractors Durham School Services, Petermann Bus and Stock Transportation all recently obtained safety certification from the Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM), the first school bus companies to do have all its directors receive it, said parent National Express Corporation.

NHTSA: Electronic Stability Control Reduces Traffic Fatalities; School Buses Are Exempt PDF Print E-mail

A report released at the end of last month indicates that electronic stability control (ESC) technology championed by transportation safety experts and required on new cars and trucks have saved more than 2,200 lives from 2008 through 2010.
