West Virginia OKs Propane for School Buses to Lower Emissions, Save Money PDF Print E-mail

School transportation officials in West Virginia now have another alternative-fuel option at their disposal — propane autogas. The state Board of Education this week approved a waiver of Policy 4334: Minimum Requirements for Design and Equipment of School Buses in favor of adding propane as an alternative fuel source for the state’s school buses.

Navistar: Schumacher Succeeds Seegebrecht as VP of Marketing for IC Bus PDF Print E-mail

Bill Schumacher was named the new vice president of Global Bus Marketing for Navistar, which includes oversight of the IC Bus brand. He replaces Kathy Seegebrecht, who was promoted to vice president of Navistar's global marketing group for truck, engine and parts.

Cummins Westport Announces New Mid-Range ISB Natural Gas Engine for School Buses PDF Print E-mail

Cummins Westport Inc. has begun development on the ISB6.7 G natural gas engine that the company said is designed to meet the increasing demand for on-highway vehicles powered by lower cost, cleaner alternative fuels. It is expected to be in production by 2015.
