ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia — Gatekeeper Systems Inc. is pleased to announce a new contract from Mid-Columbia Bus Company, which operates more than 600 school buses and vehicles servicing Oregon and Idaho.
Mid-Columbia and its subsidiaries, including Western State Bus Services, have been in the pupil transportation business for nearly 50 years. The focus of the company has been and will continue to be in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest.
Mid-Columbia chose Gatekeeper's high-resolution, solid state mobile video camera systems to assist personnel in monitoring student activity and creating video records of incidents inside their buses.
"The Gatekeeper mobile video platform Mid-Columbia has purchased provides scalable options including GPS mapping, downloading over wi-fi wireless or live streaming over cellular," stated Doug Dyment, president and CEO of Gatekeeper Systems Inc. "We are expanding our product lines and customer base, and are looking forward to working with Mid-Columbia management in an effort to implement the new systems."
With over 550,000 yellow school buses in North America, the school bus market remains one of the largest mobile video sectors in the security industry.
