Latham, N.Y.--The New York School Bus Contractors Association is holding its 63rd Annual convention October 13th - 15th at The Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Lake George, New York.
This year’s convention will provide school bus contractors and their staff to learn about industry best practices. Attendees will also be provided a comprehensive overview and update from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation about the Volkswagen diesel emissions mitigation settlement’s potential impact on the school bus industry. Other topics include School Bus Safety and Technology, New Road Tests, and Driver Retention.
Attendees will also hear about the most recent legislative and regulatory developments from Albany and Washington, DC, including New York’s new EPI Pen Law, NY’s Paid Family Leave Act, illegal passing, stop-arm cameras, Employment Cost Index, and sales tax exemption for school buses.
