Trans Tech Bus, Inc. announced this week that South Korea students under the age of 13 are now riding to and from school on the country’s first-ever American school bus, the Trans Tech SST.

Survey Shines New Light on Illegal School Bus Passing

New survey results reveal a slight increase in the rates of motorists observed on one day illegally passing stopped school buses, according to the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS). More than 15 million violations are estimated to occur nationwide over an entire school year.

Blue Bird Propane School Bus Certified as Ultra-Low NOx

The U.S. EPA and California Air Resources Board recently signed off on the Blue Bird Vision Propane school bus that is powered by a ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fuel injection system and Ford 6.8L engine. They emit only 0.02 grams per brake horsepower hour, the lowest levels of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) that are available from any Class 4 through 7 propane vehicle.

Colorado Foster Care Law Hurts School Transportation, Lawsuit Claims

The Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB), Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE), six school districts and two individual taxpayers claim that a new state law that is designed to help foster care students, will unfairly impact school transportation and should be ruled unconstitutional. Especially at issue is the cross-district busing, which is the crux of the litigation.
