NAPT announced today that San Diego Unified Transportation Director Alexandra Robinson will seek the association presidency this fall for the 2011-2013 terms, and current NAPT President and Farmington Hills (Mich.) Transportation Director Bill Tousley looks to reclaim the NAPT Region 3 director chair, a position he held prior.

Linda Bluth of the Maryland State Department of Education is set to succeed Tousley as NAPT president at the conclusion of the NAPT Summit held Oct. 31-Nov. 5.

Launi Schmutz, the transportation director at Washington County Public Schools in St. George, Utah, is seeking re-election as the NAPT director-at-large, a position she has held since 2003.

Additionally, NAPT members will have at least four choices from which to fill the new affiliate member director position on the NAPT board. Earlier this summer, NAPT members approved the measure to add a vendor representative. Current nominees are Mike Roscoe, director of school bus products for The C.E. White Co.; Dave McDonald, director of business development and technical specs for Rosco, Inc.; Rob Scott, vice president of sales and marketing for 247Security, Inc.; and Chris Thomas, director of school transportation business development for American Logistics Co., LLC.

The election will be held Nov. 4 during the NAPT trade show in Louisville, Ky. More information is available online.
