Collins Bus Corporation recently announced the recall of approximately 500 of the company’s school buses
that utilized Ford’s E-350 and E-450 chassis. Collins will begin contacting owners this week and will repair the buses free of charge.
The recall was the result of missing body mount bolts that might cause an unstable connection of the bus body to the bus chassis, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA Campaign ID Number 09V068000).
