| Alternate Fuels
The
U.S. Energy Policy Act defines alternate fuels as: Clean Diesel, Liquefied Petroleum
Gas (LPG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Biodiesel
(B20), Electricity and Hydrogen. This page provides links and information on the
three alternative fuels for school buses: Compressed Natural Gas,
Clean Diesel a.k.a. Low Sulfur Diesel (also known as
Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel or ULSD), and the recent additions of
Biodiesel, Hybrid-Electric drivetrains and Propane.
