The School Transportation News Hall of Honor Award is intended to recognize exemplary service to the pupil transportation industry throughout North America. An estimated 500,000 U.S. and Canadian citizens work professionally in the field. The Hall of Honor award is specifically designed to recognize individuals who have provided leadership, superior professional performance, exemplary competence, or individual heroism. As such, the award is not limited to individuals professionally employed in the field of pupil transportation but may include individuals outside the field who have a significant impact on school bus safety. The award may also include operational employees such as transportation supervisors or directors, driver trainers, drivers, mechanics, etc. Any full or part-time employee of a school distrct, private school, Head Start program, or school bus contractor who is involved with pupil transportation is eligible. Awards will be annonced in School Transportation News. The award will also be posted on the STN website after an issue announcing an award enters the U.S. Post. Award Recipients:

Selection Process: Awardees will be selected by the STN Hall of Honor Awards Committee. The committee reserves the right to contact nominators, so be sure to include your current telephone number. Recognition: Hall of Honor Awardee(s) will receive the following:
Nominees can be considered by the selection committee for a Hall of Honor Award only once per calendar year. Submissions will not be acknowledged and become the sole property of the sponsor and Selection Committee. |
