Draft Support Letter
Passenger Van Safety Provisions

Dear School Transporter:

Your immediate help is needed to protect the passenger van provisions that the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) secured in the TEA-21 reauthorization bill.  Please fax a letter to your Representative(s) and Senator(s) showing your support for these provisions!

Their address and fax numbers are included.  Please fax letters to every Member on the list representing your area as soon as possible.   Please do not mail the letters.  Due to security restrictions, mail takes several days for delivery.  Also please fax a copy of your letter to the NSTA office at 703-684-3212.

General Motors and the Christian Schools Association as well as private schools and Head Starts across the country have spoken to their Members of Congress against these provisions.  It is very important that your Member of Congress hears from you that you support these provisions.

The bill is currently in Conference - so it is very important that you send these letters by fax today!
