Koya, Ward Named to Executive Positions

Chiemi Koya has been named Executive Administrator of Zonar's Washington office. Koya brings to Zonar many years of management and operational planning experience. Prior to joining Zonar, Chiemi was General Manager of Business Development for Toray Marketing & Sales, Inc., a subsidiary of Toray Industries, Inc. Toray is a leading manufacturer of textiles, carbon and optical fibers, plastics and chemicals, with annual sales of US $10 billion.

Chiemi is based in Zonar's Seattle office where she provides administrative support to the Directors of all Departments.

Meanwhile, Jerry Ward has been named Director of Business Development in Zonar's Arizona Office.

Prior to joining Zonar Systems, Jerry Ward was on the leadership team that directed the Commercial Vehicle Services (CVO) business unit of Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a premier provider of diversified business process and information technology outsourcing solutions to commercial and government clients worldwide. ACS is a FORTUNE 500 company comprised of more than 50,000 people in multiple locations around the world.

As Vice-President of Business Development, he supervised development and launch of new commercial service offerings; represented the company for state government business initiatives; and led its USDOT-sponsored Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks program (CVISN). He also led the company's line of motor vehicle information technology products used by state DMV's and other agencies to register and tax commercial motor carriers. He served as project manager for the federally sponsored Crescent Demonstration Project that became ACS's PrePass program. PrePass is the nation's largest electronic pre-clearance weigh station bypass program.

Prior to joining ACS, Jerry held senior transportation-related management positions for the State of Arizona . He holds a MS in economics and a BS in business, both from Arizona State University . Jerry is based in Zonar's Phoenix office.
