50 New School Buses Featruing International® Green Diesel Technology® Engines with Ultra-Low-Sulfur
Fuel to Convoy Across U.S.

5-Mile-Long Arkansas-to-California Caravan Boasts Innovative Environmental Diesel Engine Technology That Meets Strict Emissions Standards

WARRENSVILLE, Ill. (Nov. 10, 2005) - We've got ourselves a convoy! A caravan of 50 environmentally friendly school buses built by IC Corporation, North America's largest school bus manufacturer, is beginning a trip Wednesday (Nov. 9) to San Francisco from the company's plant in Conway, Ark. The school buses are powered by International Green Diesel Technology® engines - a solution that significantly reduces emissions and improves air quality.

The school buses, outfitted with International® DT 466 diesel engines, departed the IC Corporation school bus plant in Conway at 8 a.m. on Wednesday to be delivered to a school bus customer in San Francisco. The convoy is traveling west along Interstate 40, passing through:

Oklahoma City - arriving approximately 1 p.m. local time on Nov. 9
Amarillo, Texas - arriving approximately 5:30 p.m. local time on Nov. 9 and departing at 7 a.m. local time on Nov. 10
Albuquerque, N.M. - arriving approximately noon local time on Nov. 10
Flagstaff, Ariz. - arriving approximately 6 p.m. local time on Nov. 10 and departing at 7 a.m. local time on Nov. 11
Ludlow, Calif. - fuel stop scheduled at noon local time on Nov. 11

The school buses are scheduled to stage in Gardena, Calif., on Saturday morning (Nov. 12) before being transported to their final destination in San Francisco. The caravan is expected to be about five miles long and will include an International fueling tanker carrying ultra-low- sulfur fuel to refuel the school buses. Ultra-low-sulfur fuel is a new type of diesel fuel that is in limited supply now, but will become more widely available in late 2006. It is available today under special arrangements between fuel suppliers and customers in the states of Washington and California where municipalities and school districts are the primary users.

Media Can Track the School Bus Convoy
Media will be able to track the convoy of environmentally friendly school buses in real-time because a GPS tracking solution called International® AwareT will be provided on one of the school buses in the caravan. IC Corporation announced last week that it is the first school bus manufacturer to offer a factory-installed GPS-based tracking system in school buses beginning in 2006. Although this particular order of school buses will not include the company's tracking solution, a bus will be specially outfitted with it to track the progress of the move to California.
