Contact: For Immediate Release Tim Partin Expands Thermo King Dealership FamilyThermo King of Atlanta, Doraville and Greenville Purchased from Bobby Williamson MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 12, 2005) - On Nov. 1, Tim Partin acquired Thermo King of Atlanta, Doraville and Greenville from long-time Thermo King dealer principle Bobby Williamson, doubling the number of facilities under his ownership. The same day Williamson also announced his retirment after 47 years. "It is a great opportunity for growth of my business," said Partin. "Geographically, it's a contiguous expansion for us. I'm excited and honored to take over the solid business and customer base that Bobby has worked so hard to build throughout the years." Partin, who's been in the refrigerated transportation industry nearly as long as Williamson has been, opened his Alabama Thermo King dealership locations in the early 1970s with his father. Today, his two sons are working with him. This expansion adds nearly 60 employees, 14 mobile service trucks and locations in key areas of Georgia and South Carolina. "The Atlanta facility is located in close proximity to the trucking community, and one of the largest Georgia truck stops is just up the road. Thermo King of Doraville is located in the heart of the refrigerated warehouse district and close to major leasing companies. The Greenville dealership is also well located. All three provide phenomenal potential," said Partin. "The addition of Thermo King's TriPac unit to our product offerings gives us even more growth opportunities with our new locations, as well as Alabama locations. It allows us to approach the entire trucking industry - not just the refrigerated transport side - with a solution-providing product." Thermo King Corporation, a business unit of diversified industrial firm Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited, was founded in 1938 and manufactures transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications, including trailers, truck bodies, buses, shipboard containers and railway cars. The company operates 10 manufacturing facilities and 17 parts distribution centers worldwide. Sales and service is provided by a global dealer network of 865 independently owned companies in 75 countries. For more information, access the Thermo King Web site at www.thermoking.com. # # # |
