VersaTrans Solutions Celebrates Company realizes the best first quarter sales in its history ALBANY, N.Y. (Dec. 14, 2005) -- After celebrating over 40 years in business this past year, VersaTrans Solutions, Inc., the Latham-based pupil transportation software provider, has another reason to celebrate. The close of their first quarter, which ended Nov. 30, broke company sales records - and not marginally - in fact, first quarter performance for the year was 33 percent greater than any other first quarter in company history. VersaTrans also generated a record number of proposals during the first quarter, and 43 percent of sales of VersaTrans RP were to clients replacing competitive solutions. "I am incredibly pleased and proud of the efforts of our sales team this quarter," says company President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas Hamlin, "Further, I am proud of the efforts of all of our employees. This sales performance is testament to our high-quality offerings, and everyone here at VersaTrans has a role in providing those products and services." The sales team significantly exceeded stated goals. In fact, actual sales achieved constituted 119 percent of sales goals established for the quarter. In addition to sales of its flagship routing and planning solution (VersaTrans RP) the team also recorded 39 sales of other applications within the VersaTrans suite of offerings. The company offers a suite of six applications designed to meet the automation needs within pupil transportation, including VersaTrans RP (for routing and planning), VersaTrans e-Link (a Web-based application for making routing information available beyond the walls of the Transportation Department), VersaTrans TripTracker (for automating field trip administration and transportation), VersaTrans FleetVision (for automating vehicle fleet maintenance operations), VersaTrans SIF Agent (for automation of exchange of data with other district systems), and VersaTrans OnScreen (the company's newest offering, for GPS monitoring of fleet activity).
