Defywire Showcases Mobile Guardian 3.0, BusTracker SAN DIEGO (Feb. 24, 2006) -- Educators and school administrators attending the National Conference on Education, the pre-eminent gathering of school system leaders in the U.S., can experience the new face of student security and educator mobility when they visit the Defywire booth (#343) at the 2006 National Conference on Education, held by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) February 23-26 in San Diego. At AASA Defywire will be showcasing version 3.0 of the Defywire Mobile Guardian system currently being used by school systems to gain real-time mobile access to student data including class schedules, emergency contact and medical information, attendance records, using smartphones and PDA's. Also on display will be the new BusTracker module for Defywire Mobile Guardian, which enables administrators to securely monitor school transportation operations, including pick-up and drop off management, route status and attendance reporting, and field trip management in a secure, real-time mobile environment. "Through Defywire Mobile Guardian, we are giving schools the ability to access data where it is needed most: wherever students are located. Schools are inherently mobile environments, so whether you are on campus grounds, in classrooms and hallways, on fieldtrips or athletic events, or on daily bus routes, school personnel have access to emergency data, wireless communications, and information systems at the critical moments when it can be most effective," explained Defywire CEO Jill Stelfox. "At AASA we will be showcasing a number of school systems, public and private, that have adopted Defywire Mobile Guardian and are using it in different ways to improve the overall safety and efficiency of their institutions." Defywire Mobile Guardian's strongest attributes are its flexibility and ease of implementation. In a process that takes just weeks, as opposed to months or years with other products, Defywire Mobile Guardian can be deployed and entirely operational. Further, because it utilizes the widely adopted J2ME mobile Java platform, Defywire Mobile Guardian is available on the widest range of mobile devices, using any wireless carrier network or technology. For more information on Defywire Mobile Guardian, including examples of Defywire education funding models and pricing, AASE attendees are encouraged to stop by Booth #343 for a demonstration.
