Albany City Schools Implements VersaTrans RP for Transportation AutomationFlexible, scalable software key in meeting the district's pupil transportation goals ALBANY, N.Y. (April 5, 2006) -- The City School District of Albany recently completed training on VersaTrans Solutions' products for managing their pupil transportation operations. The district purchased and has completed implementation of VersaTrans RP for routing and planning and VersaTrans TripTracker for managing field trip transportation. Albany City Schools is the second largest school district in the Capital Region of New York, where VersaTrans Solutions' headquarters are located. (The company's largest Capital Region school district client is Shenendehowa Central School District, which has been a VersaTrans Solutions customer since 1999.) The facility renovations will require the district to temporarily adjust enrollment among various schools within the district. The planning functionality within VersaTrans RP will enable the district to create and compare multiple enrollment scenarios and select the one that best meets the district's goals and facility capabilities, then create bus routes based on those enrollment adjustments. In addition, the district is planning to implement a new data warehousing model to improve and upgrade its data processing facility. About VersaTrans Solutions, Inc.
