Mentor Engineering Achieves Microsoft Certified Partner Status

CALGARY, Alberta (June 6, 2006) - Mentor Engineering has achieved the status of Microsoft® Certified Partner for demonstrating a high degree of proficiency and expertise in integrating its mobile computing products with Microsoft-based technologies.

As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Mentor was awarded a Microsoft Competency in Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/Software Solutions for proven competency in developing and marketing packaged software solutions based on Microsoft technologies.

The Microsoft Partner program brings with it the benefits of improved business planning with access to analyst reports of industry trends, customer thinking and best business practices; and ongoing Microsoft technical training with local classes, online courses, hands-on labs, and more.

As an ISV Software Solutions partner, Mentor has access to internal-use software licenses, a Microsoft Developers Network (MSDN) subscription with news on developing trends, and an ISV advisory service that offers development advice.

According to Gord Howell, president of Mentor: “The support, resources and tools offered through the Microsoft Partner program helps us stay at the forefront of mobile computing innovation, and grow our products and business into the future. This program also helps us continue to be highly responsive to our number one priority—the client.”

For clients, this certification means that Mentor has additional resources to respond to their needs quickly. The program offers a Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) index that uses industry-proven methodology to provide valuable, targeted measurements of customers’ satisfaction with service and solutions. As well, the Response Management through Partner (RMtP) resource allows Mentor to escalate Microsoft-related product problems directly to Microsoft and enter and track issues for quicker issue resolution.

“The reason why Microsoft Certified Partner status is a symbol of excellence is due to the hard work and dedication of valuable technology partners like Mentor Engineering,” said Lora Gernon, Director of Partner Sales, Microsoft Canada Co. “The extension of valuable resources and early access to Microsoft-based technology help to further define technology partners as leaders in their respective industries, and today we are happy to welcome Mentor Engineering as a new Microsoft Certified Partner.”
