New Roles for Executive Staff at DATTCO NEW BRITAIN, CONN (December 14, 2006) - Louis DeVivo, president of the DATTCO, Inc. for 44 years, announced today that he will turn over his role as President to his son Donald. Louis will retain his position as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Donald DeVivo will be promoted to President and Cliff Gibson, currently the Director of Business Development, will assume Donald's current role as Chief Operating Officer. "I am very pleased to announce these important management changes. I feel it is time to turn the reigns over to the next generation. The company has grown significantly over the past few years and we feel that this new management structure will continue that growth." Louis DeVivo stated. "My new position as Chairman of the Board & CEO will allow me to better oversee the strategic vision of the company while stepping back from the daily operations. I have complete confidence in Donald and Cliff and we all look forward to the prosperous future of the company as the entire DATTCO team works together to provide exceptional service for our customers." Executive Summaries Donald DeVivo, who has been working for DATTCO since he was a youth, received a BA in 1983 and a MBA in 1984 from the University of Hartford and is a 1988 graduate of UCONN School of Law. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar. He will assume the role of President after working his way up through many positions in the company from driving buses, to operational management, to Chief Operating Officer. He also holds industry positions as the President of the Connecticut Operators of School Transportation Association (COSTA), the Executive Board of the American Bus Association, is past president of The Connecticut Bus Association, and is on the Board of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. Don resides in Berlin with his wife and two children. Don DeVivo stated "I look forward to working with Cliff to move forward and build the company, while continuing to receive sage advice from my dad who I consider to be the patriarch of the DATTCO family." Cliff Gibson came to DATTCO with over 27 years of experience in the transportation industry. He began working for the company in May of 2006 as "Director of Business Development," focusing on vehicle leasing. Prior to DATTCO he served as Vice President of Operations for Laidlaw International, the New England Division. His experience also includes working for VanCom Transportation, Peter Pan Bus Lines and Eastern Airlines. Gibson graduated from Suffolk University located in Boston MA , with a bachelor degree in Business Administration. About DATTCO DATTCO, Inc., a family owned New England based transportation company provides passenger transportation services through the operation of 900+ school buses and numerous motor coaches throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island and operates a dealership that sells and services passenger transportation vehicles. Louis DeVivo acquired the corporation, which was founded in 1924, along with his brother in 1962 and successfully grew it from a small school and city bus operation to a 1500 employee multi-state operation with over 20 facilities. Dattco employs over 120 mechanics at facilities in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts . The Motor Coach division operates 120 vehicles that offer services ranging from Dial-a-Ride to shuttle to commuter and charter services. In addition, the company offers a full service travel agency, capable of integrating plane, train and ship travel with already existing bus service.
