Pedestrian collision avoidance systems, and improved, road-tested vehicle headlights, are among 11 recommendations that were approved in September 2018 by the National Transportation Safety Board to increase pedestrian safety.

First Blue Bird Electric School Buses Delivered in North America

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Blue Bird Corp. just delivered the first electric-powered school buses to customers in California and Ontario, just in time for the new school year. Seven Type-D All American rear engine electric school buses and one Type A Micro Bird G5 electric school bus will begin operations this year.

DTNA Brings Vocational, Electric Solutions to the IAA 2018

HANNOVER, Germany — Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is showcasing the Freightliner EconicSD, Freightliner 114SD and the Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2 all-electric school bus at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018. The products will be part of the Daimler exhibit (#FG P98), which will feature Daimler commercial vehicle solutions from around the world.

Nine Calif. School Districts Select Motiv Power Systems-Equipped Electric School Buses

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — School districts across California are taking advantage of generous state funding initiatives to replace aging diesel powered fleets with all-electric school buses powered by Motiv Power SystemsCreative Bus Sales, an authorized Motiv dealer, oversaw the latest order for 18 new zero-emission Starcraft eQuest school buses, slated for delivery to districts throughout the state this fall. Funding for the buses was provided by the state from North and South Coast Air Quality Management Districts.
